Has God changed His mind on homosexuality ?
Here is a link to a great article and blog from a brother in Christ, on the news report of the openly gay "bishop" ( another oxymoron ) Who is visiting England from the U.S. ( I didnt mind you guys sending us KFC and Mcdonalds, but this is too much ).
Please watch the video on the guy protesting at the church service the "bishop" is attending There is hope for this country after all,may God bless the protestors faithfulness :
" I don't mean to pick on homosexuals or the sin of homosexuality in particular, but we must all repent of all our sin by the command of the true and living God. My sins will, no doubt, vary slightly from yours (though no doubt you have a heart filled with pride) but I must repent. God commands it.
Since, for example, homosexuality is included in a list of sins (1 Tim.1) alongside liars, murderers and the sexually immoral etc, then as surely as murderers are to repent of their murderous ways, so too are the sexually immoral (fornicators, adulterers, homosexuals). "Full article at : Diacrino's blogspot on Gene Robinson interview

1Co 6:9
Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites,Soli Deo Gloria

I did a post on compromise recently. I hate that the churches are compromising. I hate that we are compromising.
@Hecalmsthestorm - Yeah me too brother ..The U.S is slowly catching us up here in England in the compromise department...Did you watch the protest ?...if so what did you think?

Here's an interesting essay that I stumbled upon...just wondering what's your take on it...
@drung888 - My take on it is that it is just another article written to try to blur the lines so to speak regarding the clear teaching of scripture.

Jesus is same yesterday, today, and tomorrow. God's viewpoint on lusting after strange flesh does not change. It is possible for homo to repent and become straight. There's only one unforgivenable sin which is to curse Holy Ghost. Everything else is forgiveable. Exodus International We do love them but not what they are doing.
While people of color, women, and people in wheelchairs may have been excluded or looked down upon by certain bodies of Christ throughout history, I don't recall the Word of God calling those "marginalized" groups unrighteous or wicked. or saying they would not inherit the kingdom of God. The last chapter of revelation also admonishes us to not alter the Word of God.
"I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book. And if anyone takes words away from this book of prophecy, God will take away from him his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book." Rev 22:18-19
It doesn't tell us to change the Word to suit the times by, "rethinking what the bible teaches for a modern age."

Bishop Robinson got off lightly compared to what Jenny Geddes would have done. I thing mjh905's point is very important. Robinson makes what we can call a category mistake which mjh905 spots. Except he isn't making a morally-neutral mistake. He chooses to confuse (NB that word means to 'join together') that which should be kept clearly apart.
To equate, e.g, discrimination against the handicapped with sexual immorality is to confuse what Scripture keeps separate. And he knows it!
As for altering the Word of God etc., the Liberals have been at that game for 200 years give or take. Robinson is not an anomaly or an isolated case but the logical product of the presupposition that the Bible is not the sole sufficient authority for Christian faith and practice.
I'm just saying this to my fellow Christians: Don't be surprised, don't be downhearted, be prepared to give reasoned responses that are faithful to our Lord and the Word.
Here's what I was reading only this morning:
For the time is coming when people will not endure soundteaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions 2 Tim.4:3
There will be those who want to listen to these sort of people who tell them what they want to hear. diacrino
I'm so sorry that he came from my country. I'm so ashamed. And no I don't think God has changed his mind on homosexuality. That is a abomination before God. It is a sad thing to see happening in the world today. But I thought that christian are to be separate from the world not act like it. God bless. I hope you don't mind me commenting, I just happen upon your site. Hope you have a great day.

hoorah to the Christian with the man parts to publicly humiliate sin!
That's my Brother!

Yup, one sin is the same as the other.
Thanks for your stand!
"Grace to you and peace from God the Father and ourLord Jesus Christ." Galatians 1:3
" In whom there is no shadow of turning." The Muslim "faith" preaches the doctrine of abrogation. Effectively stated, "god" can change his mind at his will. Perhaps these heretics, ( and yes, that is what they are - anyone who reads this, feel free to tell me how hateful I am being, I would love to discuss it... in genuine love) should align with islam. Or better yet, realize God does not change, and that homosexuality is rooted in the very same place all sin is. Our own desires. This is why we must die to self, but greater than that this is why the shed blood of Christ, given to those HE came to save must cover our sins. For in no man is the ability to seek the truth. In no man is the capability to obey the law. Christ, and Him crucified, that is the message. We must... well Spurgeon said it well...
"I do not come into this pulpit hoping that perhaps somebody will of his own free will return to Christ. My hope lies in another quarter. I hope that my Master will lay hold of some of them and say, "You are mine, and you shall be mine. I claim you for myself." My hope arises from the freeness of grace, and not from the freedom of the will.
Charles Haddon Spurgeon"
and p.s. regarding sending you guys across the pond KFC, McDonalds, and openly gay bishops. Your welcome for the first two, and we had hopes that the bishop would pass by you on the street one day whilst you are preaching truth. Send him back with a solid gospel presentation ;) Feel free to keep McDonalds. Having just boldly, and ignorantly aligned themselves with the Gay and Lesbian community through joining the G,L Chamber of Commerce, I no longer have a need for them. There is a boycott in operation now. Investigate it, I feel sure you will join.
In Christ, with love.
Doug.
wow. just watched the video or part of it anyway. I was not going to because of the obvious rcc affiliation. I must say that aside from praising the Most High for this faithful servant I am utterly shocked at what happened to silence him. I do find it quite revealing in many ways though. They not only attempted to silence someone preaching truth, they used piety to change the direction. He was worshipping, and to silence him they started to play music alledgedly praiseful. I tell you truly, I found more communion in his words, more glorification of the Father, and the Son, and the Spirit in his rebuke than I found in the pious organ-led distraction. How often do we cover up things needing to be said by religious works? How often do we esteem "order" above honesty?
"let us not forsake the assembling of ourselves together... and much more as we see the day approaching!"
@James3_1 - Thanks for the comments brother Doug ...hope i didnt offend anyone with my comment regarding you guys sending us Mcdonalds ..I love my brothers and sisters from across the pond .
@Evangelist_Guy - Thank you and Amen
@fullmetalbunny - Nice to have you here :)

@daleyboy77 - Oh, no. No offense, at least not from my point of view. Perhaps my humor was thoroughly disguised.
( sorry for my multitude of comments. This post really hit a nerve though. Privily they have snuck in...)
@Willowlost - great comment! see how they try to sneak in? Get an emotional response from someone, and you have them as putty in your hands it seems. Sad. Truly. By aligning (improperly) with those who have been unjustly victimized in the past, they seek to receive the same comforting hand that those people mentioned do deserve. However, a physical deformity, or a physical trait is not the same as a mental decision to blatantly disobey a Righteous, Holy, Immaculate, Perfect, Loving, Just, Merciful, Creative, Omniscient, Powerful, Beautiful, Kind, Irenic, Truthful, ... I wish I could describe Him... God.
God Bless You, that you may in turn be a blessing!
@James3_1 - I think you did a fine job!
Woe To You Mr Robinson! Your Heckler Loves You More Than You Will Know. Woe! Woe! Woe!
